Jean D’Amour Mutoni
Jean D’Amour Mutoni is a Co-founder and incumbent CEO of AOG for which he was presented with 2015 Queen’s Young Leader’s Award. He is a One Young World Ambassador since 2015, a Global Health corps Alumni since 2011 and currently Kepler university Board member . Jean D’Amour is is currently pursuing his Phd at the Universite catholique de Louvain, Belgium and has earned his MSc at the University of Manchester, UK where he was awarded ‘’ Student of the Year 2016’’. Jean D’Amour combines his experience in activism and science to solve some of the major problems facing Africa today. His vision for the future of AOG is to enhance the aspirations, opportunities and career prospects of enthusiastic and driven young people through Education and empowerment.
Eric graduated in 2013 with a BSc in Agricultural economics and Agribusiness from the former National university of Rwanda. After spending three years at GrowMovement as the project Manager (later Country Manager) during which time he spearheaded the delivery of an online business coaching and mentorship program managing a network of business professionals from top consulting firms and cooperates who volunteered time and business skills to help over 120 SMEs improve their business management skills in Rwanda. Eric was recognized among top five volunteer managers during 2016 Third sector award ceremony in London due to his work at GrowMovement. Prior to joining Grow Movement, he spent one and a half years as a volunteer trainer for Indigo Africa and six months as a Research Assistant at H20 venture partners. In 2016, he moved on to pursue a master’s degree in Sustainable Agriculture and Food security at Newcastle University on a prestigious Chevening scholarship. Upon completion of studies, he worked for Haygrove (one of the biggest soft fruits companies in UK) in field operations. He is currently working with Acts of gratitude to improve programs Management/and innovation as well as working towards diversification of funding sources. In his free time Eric enjoys spending time with friends, reading books, listening to the songs of praise. He is also an enthusiastic football fan.
is AOG co-founder and partime finance Manager. He has over 10 years of experience in finance, Administration and human resource Management both in private sector and nonprofits. His other engagements include working at European Cooperative for Rural Development (EUCORD) as a finance and Administration officer and doing other charitable work with Hopeshine Inc and one help one direction Ihumure both of them engaged in supporting vulnerable kids. Alphonse’s key areas of expertise include Finance, Accounting, human resource management, Business planning, farmers cooperative management and NGO management. Alphonse finds fulfillment in giving back to the community. Some of his hobbies are Listening to music, watching football, travelling and making new friends.
is a product of Educate for Rwanda scholarship program. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in accounting at the University of Rwanda, college of Economics and Business. How we wish we were able to hire all our brilliant scholars! Jean Claude started as volunteer at AOG before assuming fulltime responsibilities as our accountant. He is involved in several assignments providing support to the projects team as well as producing monthly financial reports under supervision of the Finance Manager. As part of his extra curriculum activities, Claude volunteers on project management team with the international organization for business and Engineering. When he is not at work or finishing a school assignment, you will often find him with his friends playing games or reading books. At AOG, we pride ourselves in empowering bright young people like Claude!
works as an Administrative Assistant at AOG. She has accumulated over five years of experience in finance and administrative duties both in NGOs and private companies. Prior to Joining AOG, she worked as an accountant for TRUSCO company. Quite often, you will find her making phone calls to remind AOG volunteers about upcoming events and other activities. She also helps a lot with Bank transactions and office management. During her free time, Joyeuse enjoys hanging around with her girlfriends and watching movies.
